Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee, chaired by Dr. Chetankumar J. Lad, convenes bi-annually or as needed, based on the receipt of any petition or complaint. The committee is tasked with taking necessary and appropriate action to address and resolve any issues in accordance with institutional policy.

In alignment with the guidelines set forth by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for preventing and addressing incidents of ragging in educational institutions, an Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted at our institute. The committee’s primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students by monitoring and preventing any activities related to ragging.

The members listed below will work together to maintain a harmonious and respectful campus atmosphere, ensuring the dignity and well-being of all students.

Constitution of the Anti-Ragging Committee:

In accordance with AICTE's notified regulations for the prevention and prohibition of ragging in AICTE-approved technical institutions (vide No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009, dated 01/07/2009- click here to download), the Director has constituted the Anti-Ragging Committee.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Raise awareness among students about the Anti-Ragging Act and the punishments associated with violations, as well as the relevant laws in force.

  • Educate students about what constitutes ragging as per AICTE/UGC regulations and the Supreme Court directive (Ragging Clause 3).

  • Prohibit, prevent, and eliminate any conduct that constitutes ragging, including verbal or written communication, or acts that tease, mistreat, or handle any fresher or other student with rudeness.

  • Prevent any undisciplined behavior by students that could cause psychological harm, hardship, or fear in any fresher or other student.
